Overview

About this role

Teacher Success Coaches are part of the Ideal Homeschool Elite experience — what families know as Core Course Support. You guide students toward mastery, confidence, and independence within each family’s homeschool plan.

Teacher Success Coaches provide personalized virtual academic instruction and coaching to homeschool students in grades 6–12. Rather than simply helping students complete assignments, you guide students toward mastery, confidence, independence, and academic success while partnering closely with parents.

You will meet virtually with assigned students each week (typically one 45–60 minute session per subject), teach and reinforce core concepts, help students stay organized and motivated, and communicate regularly with Ideal Homeschool leadership and families regarding progress.

You work closely with Sarah Knuppel, who leads homeschool strategy, curriculum planning, parent support, and the overall Elite educational experience.

Our mission

Engage. Empower. Equip. We help families build authentic, individualized education that prepares students for college, career, and life — without recreating traditional school at home.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • Meet virtually with assigned students each week (typically one 45–60 minute session per subject)
  • Teach and reinforce core academic concepts — not simply complete assignments for students
  • Help students stay organized, accountable, and motivated
  • Monitor academic progress and celebrate growth
  • Provide personalized learning strategies based on each student's strengths and learning style
  • Adapt instruction for students with diverse learning needs
  • Review and grade student work and provide constructive feedback when needed
  • Help students prioritize coursework and determine what to do next
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and a love of learning
  • Communicate regularly with Ideal Homeschool leadership and families regarding student progress
  • Work within each student's existing homeschool plan and curriculum
  • Learn and adapt to multiple curriculum platforms when needed
  • Model professionalism, integrity, and excellence

Role boundaries

What you won’t own

  • Selecting the family’s curriculum
  • Building the entire homeschool plan
  • Managing the primary parent relationship
  • Making major course changes independently
  • Creating a traditional standardized classroom
  • Completing student work for them
  • Making major educational decisions without Sarah

Parents remain responsible for participation and follow-through. Escalate curriculum, strategy, and major concerns to Sarah.
